The Livonia Soccer Club practices good sportsmanship.  We believe fun should be had by every player on the field, including those from the opposing team, and we support everyone involved whether they win or lose.  By doing this, we honor the game itself rather than the outcome of the game.  While on the field or the sideline, LSC coaches, players, and spectators each play a vital role in maintaining this vision.  Through your encouragement and positive example, you help ensure the excellence of all our LSC programs.

By participating in any LSC organized activity, you agree to honor our Code of Conduct policies as described below through your actions and words.

LSC Coaches

As a proud LSC coach, I agree:

• to learn and abide by the rules of the game.
• to be prompt and prepared for all practices, games, and activities.
• to encourage, respect, and support all players equally regardless of ability.
• to maintain a positive and safe playing environment for all players.
• to demonstrate good sportsmanship with all coaches, players, spectators, and referees at all times.
• to not criticize or shout at any coach, player, or referee under any circumstances.
• to exhibit class and dignity by shaking hands with all opponents regardless of whether my team wins or loses.
• to adhere to the LSC Playing Time Policy at all practices, games, and activities.
• to adhere to all the policies and guidelines set forth by the LSC.

LSC Players

As a proud LSC player, I agree:

• to learn and abide by the rules of the game.
• to learn and abide by the rules set forth by my coach.
• to be prompt and prepared for all practices, games, and activities.
• to play for the love and enjoyment of the game.
• to work hard at practices and games to develop as both an individual player and as a teammate.
• to demonstrate good sportsmanship with all coaches, players, spectators, and referees at all times.
• to not criticize or shout at any coach, player, or referee under any circumstances.
• to exhibit class and dignity by shaking hands with all opponents regardless of whether my team wins or loses.
• to encourage, respect, and support all of my teammates at all times.
• to adhere to all the policies and guidelines set forth by the LSC.

LSC Spectators

As a proud LSC parent, I agree:

• to encourage and support the entire team and not only my child.
• to not criticize or shout at any coach, player, or referee under any circumstances.
• to be held accountable for the actions and behavior of invited family members and guests.
• to not interfere with team coaches and their decisions.
• to accept that our games are for developmental purposes and for the fun of the players.
• to support the club and volunteer for club events as required.
• to communicate with the coach if my player cannot attend a planned game, practice, or activity.
• to communicate in an honest and respectful manner with the club at all times.
• to pay registration or related fees on time. If a time of hardship arises, I will communicate with the club to request assistance.
• to adhere to all the policies and guidelines set forth by the LSC.

In Conclusion

By following these Code of Conduct policies, we can all help achieve and maintain a positive and safe environment for all our players that encourages both their physical and mental development while also simply having fun.

Violation of ANY of these policies will be reviewed by the LSC Board and may result in your immediate removal from any or all LSC activities.  In addition, any fines issued to the LSC due to the conduct of any coach, player, or spectator will be paid by the offending party and not by the LSC.
