On behalf of the Livonia Soccer Club, Inc. Board of Directors, we hope this email finds you and your families well. It has been one heck of a year! We want to express our appreciation to all those who volunteer with the club, whether you’re a coach, a parent that pitches in for spring set-up and fall clean-up, or a parent that helps an injured player on the sideline with ice and encouraging words; our soccer community here in Livonia is strong, resilient, and most of all proud.
Our spring did not go according to plan at all. School was remote, sports were cancelled, graduation was much different; our children have been put through a lot with this pandemic. In light of the cancellation of the 2020 RDYSL season, LSC was delighted to be able to offer our children the opportunity to continue to play the game they love in a safe, well planned and thought out environment. This was done when most soccer clubs were either operationally or fiscally unable to offer their players the same opportunities. Our Board of Directors worked tirelessly to put together our return to play plan, which was accepted and approved by the State. We were able to execute on the plan and offer each team the chance to practice and play numerous games, and we did it safely.
Our mission is simple; give children in our community the opportunity to play soccer, to learn the game, develop their skills, and create lasting memories. As difficult as 2020 was, and remains, we feel privileged to have been able to do that.
We would like to acknowledge our scholastic teams for their fall seasons! The Bulldogs were prepared and ready to play at all levels. The Boys Varsity is still alive with the Sectional Class B1 semi-finals Tuesday evening. Go Dogs!
We were able to offer the fall league this year to over 60 teams in our area. Our own Livonia Girls 5/6 team coached by Ryan Snyder won the Champions Division Championship! Coach Casey Whittle’s 5/6 Girls team made the quarterfinals, and our 5/6 boys team coached by Troy Damon made it to the finals in their division and lost a hard-fought match. Our 3/4 boys/girls squad had a great fall league led by Mark Dennis. Thank you all for another memorable fall league!
The RDYSL is planning full steam ahead for the 2021 season! Club’s have learned how to play safely, and the RDYSL board is confident that the season will take place, especially knowing that a vaccine is likely to roll out this winter. With that said, LSC is opening our RDYSL registration today and will close it January 2nd. The specifics are as follows:
As promised, LSC is offering a $100 credit towards your 2021 fees as the 2020 season was cancelled. We are also offering every registrant the option to donate the $100 credit back to the club should you feel that we were able to offer adequate soccer opportunities despite the season being cancelled.

-U13-U16 $295 -$100 credit = $195

Together, we accomplished a lot this summer. I cannot remember a summer in which we had so much soccer at our facility. The lights were on, the fields were lined with cars, and we played games!
On behalf of the Board, I thank you for your support of the club. As always, please reach out to me directly at 585-727-1068 or at Jtonk1972@gmail.com.
